The Museum holds in trust artefacts, archives and records of the 49th, 62nd, 66th and 99th Regiments of Foot, The Royal Berkshire Regiment, The Wiltshire Regiment and The Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment. We welcome the opportunity to assist individuals with their research into family history when it relates to an ancestor who served in any of our former Regiments.
This page is intended to provide a facility for those who are researching an aspect of one of our regiments to publicise their project and seek assistance. It also gives us, at the museum, the chance to ask for your help in projects we are undertaking.
...1917 the 1st Royal Berkshire war diary entry reads:
G.O.C. XIIth Divn inspected the Brigade and presented medals. Following decorations were presented to this Battalion. 1 D.C.M, 1 M.M. and bar, 9 Military Medals.

Each regiment maintained a Digest of Service. This was a journal which recorded events in the life of the regiment. There was no set format and the amount of detail varied between regiments. Summary information has been extracted, and is presented here, from each of the four regiments' digests run from their formation until 1914.
