Come one, come all!
Join us here at The Wardrobe between 10am and 5pm on the 10th and 11th August for our final living history event of the year.
Take a tour of history, from the medieval era to the Second World War with our Living History Festival! We'll be joined by a host of re-enactment groups who will transport you through time, immersing you with encampments from medieval England right the way through until the Second World War. With weapons, uniform and equipment from over 1,000 years of history, we'll be bringing you all the sights, sounds and smells of war throughout history, as you take a stroll through time.
The event is completely free but donations are always welcomed. The museum is currently in the early phases of our redevelopment project 'Update 25', and all donations will help us to complete this project to the highest standard!
Groups scheduled to appear include:
Medieval Barber Surgeon (Medieval)
Colonel Fenwick's Regiment of Foote (English Civil War)
US 4th Infantry Regiment (American Civil War)
Wounded Wyverns (Second World War)
Wiltshire Regiment (Second World War)
Wiltshire Home Guard (Second World War)
