Entry (Wednesday) Halted at LOCRE. Battn warned to hold itself in readiness to support the line if required. Lieut G S Browne assumed the duties of Act Adjt to the Battn vice Rowan wounded. I have made a rough estimate of our wastage since the campaign started, first 3 months which I attach, it shows we have lost, or, temporarily lost the services of 26 officers and 1000 men. A copy of the Special Order of the day of Nov 2nd 1914 by C in C British Army in the Field is attached.
