| Entry | (Tuesday) Lieut & QRMS Hewitt 2nd Battn Wiltshire Regt came in with the train of the 2nd Battn and, he gave us a certain amount of information as to their condition and the result of an action by which they lost heavily on Saturday Oct 24 1914. Sgt Arnold and Cpl Law tried by FGC Martial. Nothing of any importance occurred. Lieut B H Goodhart performed the duties of Act Adj. to the Battn from Oct 28 to Nov 3 inclusive, vice Capt and Adj.
