| Entry | (Sunday) The advance N commenced. Battn marched as Advance Guard of the Brigade, at head of the Division. Advanced through forest of CRECY, halted for some time, then turned NE. Advanced on little village of HAUTEFEUILLE which had evidently just been vacated by the enemy. Advance again resumed at dusk, passed through FAREMOUTIERS where a certain amount of firing on the advanced guard, by enemy's piquets took place. Crossed bridge over River MORIN which was barricaded and lightly held by the enemy. Pushed up to high ground near the village of LE CHARNOIS about 2 miles N of FAREMUITIERS arriving there about 1a.m. |
