Entry | The Battalion remained encamped at No 3 Labor Camp Rouen (Petite Quevilly) during November, and furnished Working Parties for the Base Supply Depot, Detail Issue Store, Timber Yard and ships unloading in dock: although there was pressure of work during the first half of the month, owing to service calls, there was some improvement, as to the Working Parties being sent back to Camp to "Stand By" pending arrival of vessels delayed. 2. From Nov 15 - 18 there was hard frost at night (snow on night 17/18): Nov 25th, 26th were very wet: fog on 27th and 30th cold snap approached from SE on 21 Nov the men were coughing and there was some influenza. 3. The best distribution of the dinner ration, seems to be to give each Company in rotation one day roast meat: one day stewed meat; one day Machonachie Rations (heated): one day cold preserved meat (tea always being served with the cold meat). The newly sanctioned occasional butter ration proved very acceptable to the men. 4.
