Regiment | 10th (Labour) Royal Berkshire |

Location | France, Rouen |
Entry | Warm weather set in about August 12th and continued until relieved by tropical storms of rain, wind, thunder on August 29-30th. The temperature in the men's billets was excessive, by day, and must have disturbed the rest of the night workers, the rank and file worked steadily throughout the heat, supported by the example of the junior officers, and non commissioned officers in charge of the Working Parties, but at times the work told on them, and there was an epidemic of diarrhoea. |
