Entry Salvage recommenced. Educational. Classes with the object of improving the civil status of men of the Battalion on Demobilization were commenced. All men attending were volunteers. Classes were held during the mornings. Company Classes were formed in Arithmetic, English and Geography under Company Educational Officers and their assistants and special classes in Book Keeping under Lieut N.C. Kemp, Shorthand under Sgt Hounsom, French under Interpreter Jean Besacier MM, Spanish under Lieut G.P. Chance and Map Reading under Cpl Hopes MM. Captain C. Tuff was appointed supervisor of Battalion Education. 250 men volunteered for and joined the 1st Series of Classes.
