Entry 10:30. Battalion Drill. Two platoons proceeded to BEAUREVOIR to work on billets there in view of the imminent move to that place. Regimental Pioneers also did useful work in repairing and preparing billets which were, in a number of cases, in a dilapidated condition. Notification was received from Record Office during the month, that 159 Other Ranks, who were "Missing" on 1st March last when the enemy raided our lines, and on 21st March when the enemy offensive commenced, were Prisoners of War, that 5 had been repatriated, 3 had died in Germany and that one had been transferred to Holland for internment. AFB 213. Honours notified as having been granted were:- Distinguished Service Order. Lt Colonel N.B. Hudson MC. Distinguished Conduct Medal. 10198 Lce Cpl J.C. Masters. Military Medal. 10451 Cpl S.J. Caller. 23691 Pte W. Excell. 37895 L/c A.J. Rawlings. 132144 Pte E.J. Pocock. 45637 L/c G. Dean. 13261 Pte A.J. Butler. During the period under review the following Officers joined Battalion:- Lieut A.E. Crew MM (Oxford & Bucks). Lieut E. Wallis MM. 2nd Lieut J.T. Burgess. 2nd Lieut H. Day. Capt G.W.H. Nicholson MC, Transferred to England (Sick) 12.11.18. A/Capt W. Angel MC, MM, Transferred to England (Sick) 8.11.18. Casualties during the month were:- 2ND LIEUT L.J. FIELD and 2ND LIEUT J. LONG Killed in Action 4.11.18. Other Ranks. Killed in Action 10. Wounded 35 Missing 1 Died of Wounds 2 TOTAL 48 135 OR Reinforcements Joined Battalion in November.
