| Entry | 10:00. Battalion moved by march route from these billets to LE CATEAU. And was billeted in Factory at Q.4.C.5.2 (57B MAP 1/40,000). 22:50. Battalion moved to assembly positions in Railway Cutting north of HALT in K.35.C. During the Battalion stay in LE CATEAU the enemy had carried out intermittent shelling. At the time of the assembly a thick fog hampered the movement of troops. The troops were placed half way up the Eastern Bank of the cutting. Batt Head Qrs was with the companies. |
