| Entry | Orders were received during the day for the Battalion to move into front line in relief of 6th BUFFS (12th DIV). 7:30PM. Battalion moved into front line Coys taking over as follows:- "B" Coy Left Front, "C" Coy Right Front. "D" Coy Support, "A" Coy Reserve, Battalion Hqrs were located at BRAETON POST. Relief was complete by 12 midnight. Congratulatory message AFB 213 No. 25. Casualties during the month of Sept were:- Officers: 3.9.18. WOUNDED. 2ND LT W.G. DAVIES & 2ND LT A.E. LOGSDON. 4.9.18. The night was fine but exceptionally dark. Great difficulty in reaching its position was experienced by Batt Head Qrs owing to the fact that the guide lost his bearings and consequently a circuitous route was taken to arrive at BRAETON Post. Companies held positions in the vicinity of OLDHAM ST, with the exception of one platoon of "C" Coy which was on the bank of the canal DE ST. QUENTIN. Relief was complete by 00.15hrs. |
