Entry Brigadier General C.J.C. Grant DSO assumed command of the Brigade vice Brig Gen J.R.M. Minstull-Ford to hospital. 9:30AM. Marched from billets. RUBOUCK.12:30PM. Arrived and went into billets. In this district, as at ERINGHAM, the billets occupied by the Battalion were very scattered, one company being nearly 3 miles from Batt Head Qrs. MAJOR H.B. MORONY and 2nd LIEUT F.M. SUMPSTER joined the Battalion. Whilst in this area training was carried out, attention being paid to the experiences of the Second and Fifth Armies in the recent fighting for the PASSCHENDALE-POELCAPPELLE ridge.
