Regiment	8th Royal Berkshire
Location	France, FRONT LINE TRENCHES
Entry	Heavy bombardment starting at 4.30am and lasting till 8.30 on front and supt trenches. Enemy took no further action. Our communication trenches badly damaged. HV and heavy hocus used mostly. Despite braffe no casualties. Enemy know HQS and Ops etc. Lack of any good maps of area proves hampering.
