Location France, DEWAELWELDE
Entry 11:30AM. Battalion entrained at MARCELCAVE for move to DEWAELWELDE on the Belgian border. Journey lasted till 11pm when troops detrained and marched to camp about a mile and a half east of the village. Men under canvas - also officers except for messing. HQs mess in school below monastery which is now CCS. Difference of conditions noticeable. Majority talk English and raised objections to latrines being dug out. Special orders have been issued warning troops to be discreet as spies are numerous. Training, route marching and an hour of individual training in afternoons.
