Entry From 27.7.16 to 13.8.16. During our stay in BAIZIEUX WOOD which lasted from 27.7.16 to 13.8.16 the Battalion received drafts and was reorganised. The training consisted wholly in "open warfare" training with the practice of the night assault of an enemy's entrenched position. Training was only carried on during the morning, the men being allowed to read for the remainder of the day. During this period Officers and certain proportion of NCOs and men were allowed to pay daily visits to AMIENS. 5:30PM. Battalion left BAIZIEUX WOOD and marched through ALBERT to BECOURT WOOD where the Battalion went into bivouac for the night.
