| Entry | 3:34AM. Heavy shelling by the enemy, followed by a further attack on the 16th DIVISIONAL front. The smell of gas was distinctly (though but faintly) appreciable in LES BREBIS. 5:15AM. SOS from Left Battn, Left Bde. Nothing further happened and by noon, it was known that the 16th Division had successfully counter attacked, and the situation was normal. |
