Entry Bn paraded at 1640 hours to march to ARMZALI. Soon after starting enemy commenced shelling column with 4.5 HE and artillery formation was assumed. A few shells continued to fall but there were no casualties. Owing to this enemy activity orders were changed and villages along foothills between JENI and HAMZALI were occupied and the male inhabitants interviewed. 7 Oxford occupied CANAKCILL. 7th R Berks GOCELLI and 11th Worc HAMZALI. 41 males were interviewed in GOCELLI. Remarks. 17 OR sick to Fd Amb.
