| Entry | Work as yesterday and strengthening outpost wire. Enemy artillery put down a barrage at 0005 hours on PITON de L'EGLISE, MACUKOVO and border of VARDAR. 0410-0455 hours fired about 40 rounds on MM6 around Bn Hdqrs and M4 camp, 6 rounds of shrapnel on VAN 10. 1530-1800 placed many shells on M2, causing damage to out trenches and wire, also putting out of action 1 Lewis Gun. Some shells also fell on M4 trenches. A demonstration party as per attached Operation Order No 35 left VAN 10 2115 hours. Copy of Comdg Officer's report attached. Remarks. 2 ORS wounded to hospital, 1 OR sick to hospital, 4 OR wounded to duty. |
