Entry | Work in trenches and camp as yesterday. Artillery enemy. 1145 hrs 10 rounds 77MM on M4. Between 1855-1910 hours 12 rounds on PITON DES 4 ARBRES, 16 rounds on PITON AVANCE 5 rounds behind M4. 0100-0330 hours 26 rounds in MUCUKOVO from enemy trench mortar. Enemy aeroplane passed over this sector at 1500 hours. Our artillery bombarded enemy trenches at intervals during the day, it is notices that much damage to enemy trenches and dugouts. Three strong patrols left this sector at 2000 hours with object of capturing prisoners, obtaining identification, and inflict losses upon the enemy. Operation orders and Comdg Officer report attached. 2Lt URQUHART proceeds to 26th Div Gas School, as instructor. Remarks. 1 OR killed, 8 OR wounded to hospital, 1 OR wounded to duty. |
