| Entry | Work as yesterday. Enemy artillery, during the day placed 60 rounds H.E. and shrapnel on VAN 8 and MACUKOVO. At 2010 hours 6 rounds Trench Mortar in BANGOR RAVINE. Between 2315-2400 hours enemy machine gun fired every few minutes into MACUKOVO. Patrol of 1 Officer 2Lt HORDEN MC 24 ORS and 1 L Gun detachment, left VAN 10 at 2050 hrs to discover if PITON DES QUATRE ARBRES is held by enemy and if possible engage enemy patrol. Nothing was seen or heard of enemy. Patrol returned without incident at about 2400 hours. Proclamations were left in conspicuous places. At 0015 hour 4 men were observed walking along bed of VARDAR towards PITON DES QUATRE ARBRES. Remarks. 1 OR sick to hospital, 5 OR rejoined. |
