Entry Work continues on trenches, draining and revetting. Dining shelter and winter dugouts MM8. Enemy artillery. At 0115 hrs placed 35 rounds 105mm HE on this sector. Between 0800 and 1115 hrs place 41 77mm on M4 and M6 and 6 rounds HE on PITON AVANCE. Enemy machine guns inactive. Patrol of 1 Officer 2nd Lt SKERMAN and 24 ORS and 1 L Gun det left M3 2000 hours for PITON DE L'EGLISE and MACUKOVO to lay up and engage enemy patrol. Nothing was seen or heard of the enemy, patrol returned at 2400 hours without incident. Proclamations were left in conspicuous places. Lieut MUNDY rejoins from Army L.G. School. Remarks. 2 ORS sick to hospital, 1 OR transferred.
