Location Greece, L Sector
Entry Work on camps - reserve refuse pits etc being dug to be handed over to relieving Battn. On the night 30/31st July the Battn was relieved in L Sector (Right Sector of the Left Subsector of 26th Div Front) by the 7th Batt O.B.L.I. On relief positions were taken up in the second line prior to moving up to Bde Res Camp SMOL HILL. A patrol of 2 Officers 30 ORS and Lewis Gun section left our lines at 2100 hrs and proceeded to pt 11445/17775 to engage covering parties or harass wiring parties whom it was thought would be repairing the gaps cut by our artillery the day before in enemy wire. No enemy wiring parties were seen, but gaps had been effectively closed by loose coils and concertina wire.
