| Entry | No work being Sunday. Enemy artillery inactive during the day. A patrol of 1 Officer (2/Lt SHILLCOCK MC) and 10 ORS - Batt Scouts left AL4 at 2230 hrs to proceed to pt 1143/1777. Enemy were seen wiring from MACL to beyond MAC D knife rests being used. A covering party of the enemy - 25 strong was seen to be down at point 1142/17765 and many voices were heard. Our patrol was not strong enough to engage enemy parties so withdrew. Remarks. 3 Officers and 7 ORS reinforcements. |
