Entry | Work as usual. A Coy training. Enemy artillery and trench mortars registered as follows - trench mortars N of CHAPEAU DE GENDARME and wire of CRETES DES TENTES and between CHAPEAU DE GENDARME and GRAND PITON. Artillery registered pt 11432/17508 and CHAPEAU DE GENDARME. Our artillery (A/114 Batty) between 1000 and 1100 hrs registered the Inner Barrages of this Sector. An enemy observation Balloon was up during the early morning at GJAVATO. A patrol of 2 Officers and 24 ORS including a L. Gun Detachment left our lines at 2030 and proceeded via PETIT PITON to pt 1143/17772 to be up and wait for enemy patrol. No enemy were seen. Patrol returned to our lines via GRAND PITON without incident. Remarks. 1 OR to hospital (sick). |
