| Entry | Work on HQ camp and on Front and outpost Lines continued. During the past three mornings the Batt Gas Officer Lt C.B. WEAVER has visited each Coy practising the men in the points of gas drill specially pointed out by the Divisional Gas Officer. At 1930 hrs a practice Gas Alarm was held - the signal being given at Batt HQ and phoned to Front Line Coys. The practice was generally carried out much better than the last practice. Enemy artillery inactive during the day except for the registration of Heavy trench mortars between BANGOR and CHAPEAU RAVINES. Enemy machine guns and aircraft inactive. Remarks. 1 OR to hospital (sick), 1 OR reinforcement, 12 ORS rejoined. |
