| Entry | Work resumed on Batt HQ Camp and upon main line and outpost line and also in front line camps. The Batt Gas Officer has been round to Coys demonstrating correct use of anti gas appliances in dug outs etc. Tins have now been supplied to hold water for damping blankets (gas proof curtains). On the night 22nd/23rd a patrol of 2 Officers and 24 ORS proceeded to approx pt 11423/17770 leaving our lines at about 2045 hrs. Forward scouts saw several Bulgars moving about over ground in front of this point, but none were encountered. Our artillery opened fire at 2220 hrs on rear of MAC D and then put short bursts on enemy front line. No sound was heard from the enemy. Remarks. 1 OR to hospital (sick), 1 OR Died (in hospital). |
