| Entry | Work continued on new Hd Qr Camp and main and Outpost Lines. Between 2200 and 2300 hrs enemy artillery fired 20 rounds 105mm over L7, L8. Our artillery replied. During remainder of the day enemy artillery inactive on this Sector. At 1100 hrs an enemy aeroplane was brought down in the vicinity of BOYAU HILL. A man was seen to get out of the 'plane and run up towards the NOSE. Our artillery shelled the fallen aeroplane and completely smashed it up. An enemy observation balloon was up - near GJAVATO probably from 0650 hrs to 1010 hrs. |
