Entry	Work on new Hd Qr camp at MAMELON NOIR and upon main outpost line continued. Enemy observation balloon again up in the early morning at GJAVATO. An enemy deserter surrendered to the left coy just as outposts were going to take up position. From later interrogation at Brigade HQ he was found to be from the 39th Regt. 1 NCO wounded slightly (attached to Bde Scouts) T/Capt and Adj S.J. DALE proceeded to UK on leave. Remarks. 1 OR to hospital wounded.
