| Entry | Work as usual. Enemy artillery inactive on this sector, but about 30 rounds were fired in the direction of SMOL. Enemy machine guns fired at our aeroplanes from PITON DES MITRAILLEUSES. A patrol of 1 Officer and 20 ORS patrolled from ONE TREE HILL to PITON DE L'EGLISE. An enemy patrol was seen to come over the crest of PITON DE L'EGLISE in extended order, proceeding towards outpost no. 5. Enemy heard our patrol presumably, as nothing could be seen of him when our patrol searched the ground. Remarks. 1 OR to hospital (sick). |
