Entry | Work as usual. Night parties still continue to work upon new outpost positions, digging trenches and wiring in positions. Enemy artillery was inactive throughout the 24 hrs, so far as the Sector was concerned but again shelled our O.P. at MAMELON DE CHEMIN DE FER between 1830 and 1900 hrs. A patrol of 1 Officer (2/Lt S.J. MUNDY) and 20 ORS lay up at pt. 11165/17675 between 2230 and 0230 hrs in wait for enemy patrol. No enemy movement was heard, and patrol returned without incident, after distributing proclamations folded in match boxes etc. Remarks. Nil. |
