| Entry | Work was done on front line trenches, and the wire round new outpost positions. The outpost dugouts and slits were also worked upon. A patrol of 2 Officers (2Lt SHILLCOCK and Lt CHAPMAN and 16 ORS reconnoitred PITON DE L'EGLISE, MACUKOVO to CARDIFF RAVINE but returned without incident. Enemy artillery active at intervals during the night. A few rounds were fired on MM6 (Batt HQ). Remarks. 1 OR to hospital (sick). |
