| Entry | Work on Front Line and wire as usual. A small protective patrol operated between 1112/1760 and 1130/1760. Commanding Officer reconnoitred positions for outpost line in front of this sector. Enemy artillery inactive. Machine guns fired at one of our aeroplanes from PITON DES MITRAILLEUSES. Three enemy aeroplanes flew SE over our lines at 0945 hrs and returned in a N direction. No patrol other than above sent out. Major J.M.ELDRIDGE to 14th Liverpool Regt as second in command. Remarks. 5 ORS rejoined, 4 reinforcements, 1 Officer transferred. |
