Entry Work on gas proofing of dug outs and making mosquito proof dining shelters under RE supervision, and upon front line trenches and wire in front of main line. Enemy artillery inactive - day very quiet. 2/Lt A.V. SHILLCOCK and Batt Scouts reconnoitred PITON DES QUATRE ARBRES and endeavoured to locate an enemy post, with intention to capture same. The patrol formed up below crest line of hill and waited for enemy post to appear. After some 40 mins wait enemy located our patrol and fired upon. Our patrol charged but enemy fled towards MULBERRY ORCHARD and were lost among trees. Enemy aeroplane reported down N of GUEVEUELI BRIDGE now officially reported as being brought down near MRZENCI by a Greek Squadron. Remarks. 3 ORS to hospital (sick).
