Location Greece, M Sector
Entry Work as usual for SUNDAY - clearing up camps and cleaning equipment, and checking of kit in men's possession. There was no patrol from this Sector. C Coy relieved B Coy in right Coy Sector (M2) and B Coy moved back to Batt Res Coy camp at MM8. Our own artillery very active, cutting gaps in wire on P. MITRAILLEUSES. Enemy artillery active - long range gun from W of River VARDAR fired on our battery positions. Enemy fired occasional burst of fire on our front line trenches, and registered slope of MULBERRY HILL and a line running SE from PITON DES 4 ARBRES from pt 1116/17685 to 11205/1765 (Ref SMOL 1/20000 3A). During the night enemy artillery fired burst of about 20 shells on our front line at intervals of about 30 mins. Our artillery fired on gaps cut in enemy's wire ans Vickers Machine Guns (7th V.M.G. Coy) fired at intervals during the night on these gaps too. Remarks. 3 OR to hospital (sick).
