Entry Work as yesterday. A patrol under 2/LT PEARCE left M4 and reconnoitred MACUKOVO. Nothing was heard or seen of the enemy. A second patrol of Lt WEAVER and 20 ORS left M8 and after reconnoitring PITON DE L'EGLISE proceeded to pt 11125/1768 and then began to reconnoitre W slopes of PITON DES ARBRES. Enemy opened barrage from approx pt 11185/17635 to 1118/1768. Barrage was then changed to line PITON DE L'EGLISE - ONE TREE HILL. Just as patrol reached our own trenches enemy opened third barrage along wire from M6 to the VARDAR. Enemy artillery fired a few rounds of 77mm shrapnel on M4 in the evening. Remarks. 4 OR to hospital sick, 4 NCOS to BASE DEPOT awaiting departure to UK for commission, 3 OR rejoined, 17 OR Reinforcements.
