Location Greece, M SECTOR R. VARDAR
Entry Coys worked on trenches and wiring. On the night of 26th/27th 2/Lt Shillcock and Batt Scouts working in conjunction with Bde Scouts patrolled to MACUKOVO and then MACUKOVO and CARDIFF RAVINES. Bde scouts moved on towards QUATRE ARBRES but were fired on and bombs were thrown. Enemy put down a barrage on PITON DES QUATRE ARBRES. Again the enemy put down another barrage, but patrol remained still until barrage lifted. On returning, noises were heard in MACUKOVO but upon reconnoitring nothing was seen. Patrol must have been observed for enemy put down another barrage. Patrol however returned to our own lines without casualties. Apart from barrage put down as above, enemy artillery inactive during the day. Remarks. 2 OR to hospital sick.
