Entry Coys worked as usual on trenches and wire blocks. 2/Lt PEARCE and 30 Ors patrolled to PITON DES QUATRE ARBRES. Five Batt Scouts were sent to the hill early in the evening (1700 hrs) to watch for enemy post believed to come to PITON DE QUATRE ARBRES. 2Lt PEARCE's patrol was then to endeavour to capture this post. No movements of any enemy patrol or post were however observed. Enemy artillery M2 at about 2300 hrs. Two Ors wounded. These men were working with wiring party in front of M2 (PITON AVANCE). Enemy artillery fired on wire in front of PITON AVANCE - 8 shrapnel at 2130 hrs. Two OR wounded. Remarks. 2 OR wounded, 2 OR sick to hospital.
