Entry Coys work on Trenches and wire. Enemy fired about 12 light field gun shells in front of CLAYMORE during the morning. A raiding party of 3 Officers and 70 ORS left our trenches and proceeded to KIMBERLEY SPUR with the object of raiding DIAMOND HILL, on reaching track N of KIMBERLEY SPUR a strong Bulgar patrol was encountered. Two enemy were killed, but raiding party withdrew as alarm had been given and no chance of surprise. Casualties 1 OR slightly wounded. During raid numerous red, green and white lights were fired up from DIAMOND and EMERALD HILLS. 2 NCO's leave for Base on admission to Officers Cadet Unit. Remarks. 2 OR sick to hospital.
