| Entry | Working on trenches. Patrol of 2 Officers and 40 OR to reconnoitre gap in the wire between CARDIFF and BANGOR RAVINES. Main body took up a position commanding both ravines and 1 Officer and 1 OR advanced up spur between but were prevented reaching their objective by encountering enemy sentry posts, they withdrew to the main body the whole returned to our trenches without further incident. During the day enemy registered MACUKOVO and the ravines in front of his positions, he also shelled right and centre subsector during the evening. Remarks. 9 OR to hospital sick. |
