Entry | Our artillery started bombardment of enemy's positions. Only occasional hostile shelling during the day on C8. 10.12 and heads of XMAS and EXETER RAVINES. At 2045hrs enemy commenced shelling our trenches and continued with varying intensity up to 2245hrs. 2 casualties wounded. Our patrols cut gaps in wire N junction N of HAND 5. Between 1815-1900 12 hostile planes came over and bombed some of our front line trenches. |
