Location Greece, Front Line "C" Sector
Entry A hostile aeroplane passed over our Sector at 0700hrs but turned back when fired at. 4 more planes came over at 1200hrs, our fire drove them back. 8HE (4.2) were fired on to C10, one being a direct hit. At 0900hrs 8 light HE burst in EXE RAVINE near C8. Between 1000-1100hrs driving of stakes could be heard near point K, probably in JUMEAUX RAVINE. Patrol down HAND 4 only heard solitary picking in the direction of MORTAR RAVINE. Battn was relieved by the 11th WORCESTER REGT in the left sub sector (C10-D2) and by 7th OXFORD and BUCKS L.I. In the right sub sector (C2-C8). Relief complete at 2315hrs and Battn returned back for training. 2LT L.L. RIVETT wounded by bullet through arm. Remarks. 1 OR to hospital sick.
