Location Greece, Main Line "R" Sector
Entry The enemy shelled the whole of our front line heavily all day and until about 2200hrs. Very cold all day with slight snow. MAJOR GILLESPIE, 2LTs HOPKINS and JOHNSON and 6 NCO's returned from Divl Gas Course. The following was received from 7th Inf Bde. "The Divisional Commander desires to express his appreciation of the work recently carried out on the new line in E, F, and H Sectors. The organisation which enabled such rapid and extensive work to be undertaken reflects great credit on the Brigade Staffs, which the extent of wiring and entrenching done on the nights of 8th/9th and 9th/10th is a proof of the skill and energy displayed by the Battalions + R.E. concerned in carrying out their instructions." 2 Coys worked on CT from PEARSE RAVINE to SENELLE RAVINE, the other 2 stood by. Remarks. 2 OR to hospital sick, 3 OR rejoin Battn.
