| Entry | Bright warm day. Hostile plane hovered over this sector between 1500 and 1530hrs. Enemy artillery again registered WHALE BACK. 4HE (4.2) being fired on to E end and 12 field gun shells on to the centre. A machine gun apparently on P4 fired several long bursts between 1000 and 1030hrs, but not against this sector. Blasting was heard from direction P4. Our patrols heard working party on P5 apparently working on the sangars. Artillery was turned on. Quiet night. Remarks. 1 OR to hospital sick. |
