Location Greece, Front Line "E" Sector
Entry At 1100 hostile aeroplane circled over KIDNEY HILL but was driven off by our guns. 4HE (4.2) were fired just S.W. of KIDNEY CAMP at 1200hrs and 2 field gun shells burst in front of E8 at 1700hrs. Between 1645-1715 enemy appeared to be registering on WHALE BACK, 15 field gun shells being fired chiefly on W end. Very cold wind (N) blowing all day, overclouded. Our patrols had nothing to report. The new FT started on WHALE BACK which when occupied will considerably straigthen our line. 3 field gun shells fired on to WHALE BACK at 2115hrs otherwise quiet night. Remarks. 2 OR reinforcements join Battn, 3 OR rejoin from hospital.
