| Entry | Bright sharp day. Aerial activity. Our artillery continued its bombarding against PETIT COURONNE. Very little shelling on our sector during day. Intense bombardment barrage on PETIT COURONNE from 2000hrs which lasted until about 2400. 10th Devons and attacked encountered strong opposition out took 27 prisoners. Enemy retaliated considerably some shells falling on the right sub sector. 2nd casualties wounded. Battn relieved by 7th Oxford and Bucks LI relief complete 0225hrs. Returned to R Sector MAIN LINE. Remarks. 2 OR wound, 3 OR sick to hospital. |
