Entry Between 1230-1300 W. RAVINE was shelled with HE (4.2) at the same time enemy put up a kind of barrage in front of D10 and 12 with field guns. Our sniper fired at 10 men going into sangars on P5 range too long to be effective. A deserter of 33rd Regt 9 Div Bulgarian came in through bombing post in D10, information was gathered from him that 2LT LAMBERT missing on 4/1/17 had died of wounds sustained. Our patrols heard on E slopes MAMELON also on HILL 380 and in RAVINE des JUMEAUX, the artillery was turned on. Quiet night. Remarks. 1 OR to hospital wounded, 1 OR to hospital sick.
