Entry Our patrols heard working on E slope HILL 380 and in RAVINE des JUMEAUX the artillery was turned on which resulted in retaliation upon the enemy's part. Our L.G. in front of O6, fired on to HILL 380 throughout the night. There was slight intermittent shelling throughout the day. A strong patrol under 2Lt LAMBERT went out from D10 to the trench K2-L2 they succeeded in getting half-way through the gap in the enemy's wire, they were fired upon and bombs were thrown at them. They retired, upon forming up behind a ridge by DOLDZELI 2 Lt LAMBERT was missing, search parties sent out were unable to find any trace of him he was apparently wounded and taken prisoner. Remarks. 2 OR to hospital sick, 5 OR wounded, 1 shell shock, 1 OR returned from hospital.
