| Entry | Enemy shelled Battn HQ at VLADAJA RAVINE about 0730hrs - casualties 1 OR wounded, and again at 1500-1600hrs. 2Lt BENSON with a Sgt proceeded towards MAMELON about 1800hrs and found it occupied by a small party which afterwards increased to 12. Lt RAVENSHEAR took patrol through DOLDZELI and beyond. Patrol found enemy telephone wire which was cut manoeuvred with an enemy patrol of same size but did not get into action. Between 2200 and 2400hrs considerable shelling of HORSESHOE and ground between sector C4 to W. Remarks. 5 OR to hospital sick. |
