Regiment 6th Royal Berkshire
Location France, Regina & Fabeck trenches.
Entry By 5am the position was as follows:- 10th ESSEX on our right with their left about the bank at R.22.b.44. Two platoons each of C & D Coys, 6th R BERKS holding REGINA from the bank at R.22b.44 to SIXTEEN ROAD (inclusive) at R.22a.48. D Coy on the right C on the left. On our left the 9th RW Fusiliers. The remainder of our C & D Coys in HESSIAN. A & B Coys in FABECK. MIST at first, clearing a little later. At 5.45am 5th Corps attacked N of the ANCRE in conjunction with other division on the S. At 5pm C & D Coys effected the following change to facilitate relief. C Coy took over piece of REGINA held by D Coy (i.e. their original front) D Coy concentrating in HESSIAN TR. At 7.10pm head of relief column arrived at RIFLE DUMP. C & D Coys relieved by 7th RW KENTS. A & B Coys relieved by 8th E SURREYS. Relief complete 10pm. Bn moved back to TARA HILL bivouac. Bn all in at 1.45am. Fine.
