| Entry | Very wet day. All companies working to try and keep trenches clean. Quiet up till 6-30pm when enemy started to shell Right -C Coy, all round API. They shelled for about an hour, off & on, & 5 men were killed & 4 wounded. Heavy bombardment going on at same time N of us & also some to the South. |
